Standard Parking Announces Recent Contract Awards

CHICAGO, July 11, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Standard Parking Corporation (Nasdaq:STAN), a leading provider of parking management, ground transportation and other ancillary services, today announced several recent contract awards. The awards reflect activity across a variety of end markets served by the Company's diverse operating divisions.

Central Parking was awarded a multi-service management contract at the GM Renaissance Center in Detroit, Mich. The award encompasses parking, maintenance, valet and shuttle operations across a 40-acre campus, housing General Motors' world headquarters and two nearby hotels. Under the terms of the contract, which began in May, the Company oversees the operation and maintenance of the Center's 8,000 parking spaces across 13 facilities, three valet operations, and three shuttle buses that transport employees and visitors across the campus.

SP Plus® Gameday has been awarded contracts for its event logistics services for several North American sporting events. The services will be provided for the 2013 CONCACAF Men's Gold Cup Soccer Tournament to be held in 13 cities across the United States throughout July. SP Plus® Gameday also was awarded a multi-year contract to provide its services for the 2014 and 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup Canada. In addition, the Company announced the renewal of its service contract at FedEx Field in Landover, Md.  

SP Plus® University Services was awarded a contract to manage parking operations at select parking facilities for sporting events and special campus activities at the Georgia Institute of Technology.  Services under the contract will begin August 1, 2013 and will include the use of the Company's proprietary Click and Park® online advance parking reservation and payment engine.

The Company's SP Plus® Airport Services division announced the renewal of Central Parking's contract to provide parking management services at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport.  Under the existing contract, Central Parking manages over 19,600 spaces in four parking facilities for the Airport, and also provides custodial maintenance of the facilities. The renewal term is scheduled to begin October 1, 2013.  

SP Plus® Municipal Services announced awards by the City of Long Beach, Calif., the City of Newport Beach, Calif. and Albany, New York's Capital District Transit Authority (CDTA). The Company began providing expanded off-street parking management for the City of Long Beach on April 1st, and on May 13th assumed management responsibility for over 1,100 spaces across three off-street facilities for the City of Newport Beach under a multi-year contract. The Company began parking management and maintenance operations for over 1,000 spaces at the CDTA's Rensselaer Station on May 1st.

Finally, the Company's SP Plus® Hotel Service division began providing valet parking services for six hotel properties throughout the greater New York metropolitan area since April 1st.  Among the hotels now being served are the Fairfield Inn, Spring Hills Suites, The Refinery Hotel, Courtyard by Marriott and The Quin Hotel.
